A sampling of  school programs and assemblies Lorna offers:

Step into Stories    (PreK - First graders)

Combining rhythm and song with stories, this is an age- appropriate program to ignite enthusiastic learning and good listening.  Lorna establishes a cozy setting for practicing pre-reading skills. Teachers are amazed when their preschoolers sit for forty five minutes!

Worlds Away:  Stories Take Us There  (2nd - 6th grade)

Diverse in theme and mood, these multi-cultural stories from around the world introduce listeners to a multitude of wise folktales, mysterious myths and legends, humorous trickster tales and ghost stories.  In addition to her lively, engaging storytelling, Lorna's gathered knowledge of foreign lands and languages provide unique enrichment for the social studies curriculum.  Collaborative planning recommended!

Told in the Dark:  Stories from the Spirit World   (4th - 8th grade)

These are the stories that stir our curiosity with unexplainable actions and unsettling endings.  This program explores the unimaginable and invisible with legends and lore from around the world.  Lorna's chilling delivery is particularly appropriate for Halloween and campfires.

(And please ask about Selena, the sea sorceress, and her ghastly companion, The Hag of Old Greenwich, available for an unforgettable experience!)

This isn't for Kids: Storytelling Tells All   (Middle and Upper School grades)

With an engaging and experienced manner, Lorna charms the ever-suspect older student audience with ancient and modern-day tales no one is too old (or cool!) to hear.   Lorna offers a selection of stories with themes of diversity, tolerance and meaningful messages for teenagers.
Lorna is also available to coach students in public speaking.
